Fulfillment is the one episode of Secret Level that doesn't adapt a video game. Instead, it creates an original world featuring AI Buddibots and PlayStation references. The plot follows a courier named O as she navigates a series of obstacles while attempting to deliver a package. I was hoping they wouldn’t take this direction, but they did. The episode doesn't tie into any specific game, aside from shoehorning in as many Easter eggs and popular game characters as possible. While I immediately recognized the bot's voice, I just couldn’t get into it. At just over 10 minutes long, it felt forced and offered little beyond the nostalgic nods. That said, with Season 2 confirmed, there’s hope for a better balance of classic games and storytelling, much like the first half of the this season.
Sucks ass PS ad. The lowest bar of the series and the bar is not that high... Retire Tim Miller.
Not unwatchable, but it’s totally pointless. It’s one big long ad for PlayStation that isn’t anywhere near as good as their older ones used to be. It’s a weird way to end this series, but I have heard that this episode may be a teaser for episodes to come. If that’s true, than we have some very interesting episodes to come in Season 2.
Fortnite meta-verse ah ad. I know you all are gonna be pissed off that Kratos was only it for like 2 seconds 😔✊ I’m sorry for your loss. Really bad way to end the season. 3/10
Grade C-
"WOW LOOK AT ALL THESE IPS WE HAVE IN THIS EPIC EPISODE"
and you only show 5 of them.
you couldn't even fucking try???
It seems we can all unanimously agree that they saved the worst for last. Not only does it essentially function as a PlayStation ad, but it baited everyone during the trailers making us think we were getting a God of War episode.
What we got was a poorly acted, horribly written commercial for multiple PS exclusives. It's somewhat fun I guess, but the egregious advertising makes it painful at the same time. Every reference feels like it was implemented with zero thought and effort. This gets a full star for having a colossus appearance.
