Look, I am not gonna lie. During most of its runtime, I wasn't feeling this movie. All the reviews, especially those by Jacob and Steph_h, which called this movie nearly a masterpiece, gave me the impression that I was being conned. Sluggish pace, long pauses, uninteresting characters, and decisions that seemed very illogical. I could think of a billion other options that could have been taken. As a result, I was ready to give it 2 or 2.5 stars. That slow and bad I thought it was.
But, as in Burt Lancaster's The Swimmer, a whole third act reframed the whole picture and I became quite riveted and caring for everyone. As if all the building up suddenly came crashing…
