The Film is based on the infamous 'Charlie Murder Case' in the Indian State of Kerala where the main culprit Sukumara Kurup has been on the run for decades and is still not been caught. The story revolves around the perspective of Sukumara Kurup and the Police officers who were investigating the case.

Making is really good, some shots were like really framed well and sushin shyam banging on that music department (ee cinemaku atinte avashyam undo ennulatu vere chodiyam). Njan poya theatril andi audio quality ayirunu, bagyatinu padam mostly bgm and lame dialogues ayatu karanam rekshapetu. Pacing issue nalapole ind, like shit goes from 0 to the moon in seconds. Characters atra developed ayirunilla. The reason I'm pointing out these is cuz njan ee padam kanan 18min kondu 2km oodi and it wasn't worth the energy. Oh ente mwonea aa climax, entina verute? (RajuA10 effect?)
But as in a weird note, behalam undakuna youngstersinte edayil an old guy was weirdly enthralled than the others and he said "atoke oru kaalam.....
Even if we set aside the fact that Kurup tries to mercilessly fictionalize & monetize a real time act of murder, piggy-backs on the sensational frenzy around a long-time wanted fugitive and does a massive disservice to the plight of the deceased’s family by glorifying and dropping in a potential sequel end-credits scene, the film doesn’t come together technically either. It’s high time film-makers move on from this boring, repetitive non-linear narrative technique to plough a well known real time incident, biopics included.
Besides a messy screenplay, badly written characters and mechanical dialogues,all Sushin Shyam’s music does is remind the audience that a star is playing a wanted criminal when that shouldn’t have been the case.

A well crafted biographical period crime drama with terrific production design, visual aesthetics, costumes, musical score and performances from Dulquer, Idrajith and Shine Tom Chacko. The suspenseful non linear narrative structure does spice up the interest, however it takes its own sweet time to setup the drama, getting tiring and messy at many places, until it starts unleashing itself in the final 45 minutes and ends with a bang. Leaving aside the few questionable narrative glorification choices, it is a technically strong passable drama.
