Don’t be afraid to feed the fish in your head. Become a train. Be a rocket ship. Don’t die at the end. Transcend instead.

Most of what goes on outside of the mayhem is pretty painful. You’re here for one reason only, and you’re gonna get your money’s worth in slapstick brutality. However, much like an actual train ride, it’s exciting at first and then suddenly monotonous. Points for graphic creativity, but this didn’t do much for me.

Open Your Eyes 1997
Cameron Crowe’s needle drops changed my life, as did Penelope Cruz, so I’m deeply in debt to Alejandro Amenábar for his imaginative psychological thriller. I’ll wear my love for the remake as well. I can’t escape that reality.
