The soundtrack goes SO HARD. Definitely more of a Halloween movie than a Christmas movie. Still, it is funny, inventive, cute, and VERY CATCHY. Love that Boogie is basically a New Orleans jazz king. Jack is endearing despite how oblivious he can be. Sally is the Belle of the ball, so bold and self-sufficient. The horror elements are also remarkably distinctive and creepy for a children’s movie. And the animation is glorious. I really liked this one.
