Mr. Smith Goes to Washington 1939
I’d like to intellectualise it

From Russia with Love 1963
Remains THE best spy picture ever made, and stays as a perfect example of Bond
-
A Hard Day's Night 1964
Hey, you won't interfere with the basic
rugged concept of me personality, will you?George Harrison = comedic legend
-
Goldfinger 1964
Still totally mid
It’s famous only for its iconography and being on TV at Christmas
Other than that, it’s meandering, boring and Bond solves the plot off screen -
Dr. Who and the Daleks 1965
Starts off strong, seemingly throwing off the shackles of being tied to “Doctor Who” to be just a fun science fiction romp. Eventually, it screeches to a halt, with a less talented writer unable to adapt Terry Nation’s nonsense in an interesting way

Help! 1965
“Get me the home office, he’s wrecking my home”
Ringo doing karate to no one is the best gag ever committed to screen
The casual fucking racism of 60’s Britain is unfortunate
George continues to be the GOAT
Uh I like a lot of the ditties and non sequiturs
Ticket to Ride is the best
But the whole thing is a mess
