    One of Them Days

    ★★★★

One of Them Days is the new comedy film directed by Lawrence Lamont, and stars Keke Palmer and SZA. When best friends and roommates, Dreux and Alyssa discover Alyssa's boyfriend has blown their rent money, the duo finds themselves going to extremes in a race against the clock to avoid eviction and keep their friendship intact.

Right off the bat, Keke Palmer and SZA are both super great in this movie. Both of their characters have really great chemistry, and…

    Presence

    ★★★½

Presence was directed by Steven Soderbergh, and is the new drama, supernatural thriller that is distributed by NEON. The film tells the story of a family who move into a suburban home and soon come to the realization that they are not alone.

This was one of my most anticipated movies of January, and probably the entire year. I do want to give out a brief disclaimer, because, this film is being marketed as if it's the next Insidious or…

    ★★★★½

Nosferatu is the new adaptation of the iconic gothic vampire Horror tale. This time around, the film is directed by Robert Eggers and stars Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Bill Skarsgård, Willem Dafoe, and others.

Nosferatu is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake.

This was one of my most anticipated movies of the whole year. I've been behind Robert Eggers' filmography since The Witch…

    Wolf Man

    ★★½

While it's not as bad as I initially feared it would be, Wolf Man does suffer from a lack of an interesting story, characters and setups. I respected the use of build up that went into this story, and there definitely were fun and spooky elements present, but, overall, the film feels very hollow, especially compared to Leigh Whannell's previous films.
