beach divorce made me so sad but what actually made me cry was Charles telling Mystique to go with Erik bcs that’s what she wants “I promised you a great deal of things” kinda destroyed me, and i also loved Mystique going "i always thought it would be you and me against the world, but it doesnt matter how bad the world gets, you never want to be against it, you want to be a part of it" i think charles’s (not blind but definetly a little visually impaired) faith on the ‘humans’ is such an interesting part of his character, he’s my favorite type of pacificist in media, when the peace he seeks comes with such a price as having to always hide and defend and lose so much, when even tho he knows he needs to hide the school and his students/friends he still believes in humans and in peace, I love him a lot idk. anyways I can’t fucking BELIEVE they killed Darwin so early that was insane he was so cool, also Charles and Erik definitely fucked but I feel like that’s not new information for anyone
