Dave Holloway’s review published on Letterboxd:
Tedious to the point of madness, Retribution is another desperately tired and painfully cheap Sky Original Movie that continues the company’s unbeatable streak of <checks notes> everything they’ve ever made being completely awful.
Honestly, I just felt bad for everyone involved - Liam Neeson looks tired, Matthew Modine looks ashamed, the CGI background artists overworked and the replaceable supporting cast just grateful for a paycheck. Nothing makes sense, the story is lazy, the bad guy guessable within the first 30 seconds and the lazy, cheap-ass production values are shameful. Not even the title makes any sense. The only winner here is Berlin which, I’m guessing, got a massive tax break. Truly fucking terrible.
