Dave Holloway’s review published on Letterboxd:
Possibly the most squandered idea of 2023, 65 should be rollicking good fun with a charismatic leading man elevating a committed genre piece…
Instead, though, we get a misjudged attempt at a character piece with a series of forced father/daughter relationship cliches and a complete and total waste of a concept, let alone dinosaurs.
The internal logic is deeply flawed, the CGI would make an episode of Doctor Who blush and the mostly set-based action is flat and unengaging. Even the final montage over the end credits is a brilliant idea wasted. Quite what Adam Driver is doing in this is beyond me.
