The Iron Claw

The Iron Claw

Why the heck I didn’t made a profound research about this tragic story? Oh dear… life treated the Von Erich family like a truck, so depressing but yet so moving and touching. This is the perfect example that raising a children on a environment of toxic masculinity can affect you through life, boys are allowed to feel, to cry, to be vulnerable and fragile, and is frustrating that those beliefs are still teached, that you can’t be successful as an artist, that boys wear blue and girls pink, that parents live through their children, forcing them to fulfill their frustrated dreams that they didn’t fulfill, making children feel compromised even if is not what they want, even if it’s against what they believe. Sadly this happened and I feel insanely crushed to had been a viewer of this heartbreaking story, like I said before I didn’t knew what this movie was based on, and frankly I wish I didn’t knew it now. Zac Efron is amazing on this role, his performance really moved me, and is insane how far he had become in terms of being an actor. I recommend this film maybe for a one time viewing, despite how depressing it is, is worth the time, beautifully directed, great cinematography, stunning acting and a ending that is going to be living on my mind rent free from now on.
