Babylon

Babylon

Epitome of extravaganza right here, one of the most audacious and wild films I had ever seen, from start to finish is just a bomb of succulent surprises. This movie is a crazy road to discover the rise and fall from old Hollywood actors, sometimes fame might be ephemeral but the glory days stay intact in their hearts because they were revolutionary and the icon of the moment, and this movie addressed those sensations brilliantly like the struggle of figuring out who you are when things are changing and you need to evolve in order to keep having success and a promising career. How hard is to deal with the spectacles media since society have no compassion whatsoever so is such a difficult mission for harsh critiques to not affect us, is just so hard to fit in when your adventurous spirit doesn’t feel like home. The last hour felt more lackluster than the amazing first two hours that were more packed of fascinating drama and situations, but the ending made up for it with that wholesome and nostalgic tribute to cinema. The cast is beyond talented genuinely they delivered insane performances especially Brad Pitt, Diego Calva and Margot Robbie, they were so impressive and memorable, with such a spectacular soundtrack that is going to be stuck on my head for weeks and a really stunning cinematography that shows the humanity, the madness, the colorful and chaotic scenes, it was just delightful for the spectator. My only complaints is that this movie tried so hard to be ambitious, it could had been so much better if it was probably less explícit, don’t take me wrong I love when directors like Chazelle are not afraid of taking risks even though that means turning a product to be controversial but I felt that some scenes weren’t necessary, the premise was fantastic enough and it didn’t need that much sex, erotism and repulsive resources to make it more exciting. Overall I had a blast with “Babylon”, is just so splendid to se the reflect of the desire of achieving innovating goals with your life, that is not bad wanting to be more than just an ordinary individual lagging behind not daring to make a change, to dream big and take the challenges, lately watching movies had teach me how awesome is to create, to show your essence and share it with the world, we were destined to thrive, to be the best versions of ourselves, and this film is just the representation of wanting to leave our mark, such a shame that it was box office bomb because it didn’t deserved it.
