Dan ‘s Litter Box’s review published on Letterboxd:
Hitchcock and Stewart, my favorite filmmaker and actor reteam again for another single location flick after Rope. And while I greatly enjoy that (along with every film that they ever did together) this and their final outing Vertigo are the definite masterpieces. But this is without a doubt their most entertaining and fun venture. And (along with Stewart) it's now my favorite of their team-ups.
As fun and engaging as it's always been. A film I've seen so many times, but only now have I finally seen it on a big screen. Like all of Hitchcock's home-runs, it's about as timeless as always. Stewart may have a more deeper and nuanced role in Vertigo, but he was never more likable for Hitch than he was here. Ditto Grace Kelly, still the best of Hitch's leading ladies, and in a career of scene-stealing, this vies for All About Eve for the greatest supporting role of Thelma Ritter's.
Also still hands down my favorite film that's set in a single location. Though 12 Angry Men and especially Dog Day Afternoon (both by Sidney Lumet) are way up there as well.
