An underrated gem that is frankly far better than the original.
This sequel drops the supernatural elements of the first one and grounds itself with very real dangers of the internet. Though it’s not as filled to the brim with gore and death, the aftermath of some of them are bleak and will linger with you.
It leaves you feeling paranoid with maybe considering to go off the grid. I will admit that some of the story points are a bit clunky and in hindsight can look a bit thin, but the over all theme of it is grim enough to leave you feeling unsettled.

A goofy, queer, time warping, holiday slasher. The script is a little sketchy and the ending is a bit far removed from the rest of the film.
I can see the influence Scream has had on this movie, so I enjoyed it more than I should’ve.

Wanting us to believe that what we are seeing will pay off and fix itself by the end but as the story goes on; we see that things may not have been what they were believed to have been. And we see how Ani starts to slowly come to that realization.

I can see why this movie is divisive amongst people, but my issue is the length of this movie. It’s got a stronger plot than its predecessor and it’s definitely a fun ride but the third act feels longer than it should be. It could’ve used some cutting in the beginning, middle, and end. And kept this at just short of 2 hours, but overall, this fun sequel strengthens Art’s legacy and you can definitely tell the time they put…
