“See you at the party Richtor!”

After the success of Conan the Barbarian, Arnie had a great relationship with Dino de Laurentiis. After the success of the film Bladerunner, which was based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. Dino had shopped around for other stories by the same author, Philip K Dick and he purchased the rights to We can sell your Dreams to you Wholesale.
Which was given the movie working title of Total Recall.

Jack: Hey. What’s that star on the wall for?”

In 1969, John Landis witnessed a gypsy burial in Romania.
This man had committed a horrendous crime. They buried him wrapped in garlic, buried feet first and at a cross roads. The translator said that he was buried this way to make sure that he does not rise from the dead.
This conjured up ideas in Landis’ head. He started to write this at 18. When he made his first film,…

Another important warning about the dangers of AI !

These stop motion animation films are always entertaining and lots of fun. Some of the ideas and concepts are just great.
The barge (longboat) being called the Accrington Queen, that made me giggle. As did a number of other bits. Like the use of the Cape Fear score when Feathers McGraw is put into prison at the start is a fun touch.

Nick Park and the Aardman team have been entertaining…

This is a fun rom com. With almost all the comedy coming from the dirty Welsh roommate, Spike (Rhys Ivans?)

This film has one of the best time transition shots of any film and it’s gets a full extra star just for this one shot.
Taking us through all the seasons of the year in one continuous shot as Hugh Grant walks along Notting Hill high street.

I’m not a Rom com person at all but this film is worth…

Hanratty: “Would you like to hear me tell a joke?”
    Amdursky: “Yeah”
    Hanratty: “Knock knock.”
    Amdursky: “Who’s there?”
    Hanratty: “….. Go Fuck Yourself!”

Is this a Christmas film? Well it has a number of scenes that take place at Christmas. The phone calls to Hanratty. The escape then making his way to his Mother’s house.
    I think it qualifies.

This amazing film is a true story. (Although slightly embellished) Frank Abignale Junior, forged cheques and scammed banks out of millions dollars.…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

North by Northwest is a classic Hitchcock film, with its iconic crop duster scene and Mount Rushmore location for the finale.
Although this film is 65 years old the pacing is still very good for the time.
Hitchcock is indeed a master of his craft.

He first conceived of the idea for this film before shooting Vertigo and while on the set of that film he told Jimmy Stewart the plot of the film. Stewart assumed that he was going…
