“THANOS WAS RIGHT”
-random MCU civilian after seeing Rogers: The Musical (2021)
and also me after watching “Thor Love & Thunder”
i’m starting to realize the Russo brothers did a really fucking good job at balancing style + substance, and pretty much every single storyline in the MCU at the time.
yk what? thats actually what makes this movie so good. Thanos’s storyline. i mean like it’s quite literally his movie, no one else in the MCU is allowed to piece the Hulk like that ??
he was insane for what he did but he thought it had to be done and he did it. name any other time our heros lost on a cinematic scale like this? i didnt even know it was possible as a 9 year old in the theaters
stay with me now
obviously he had to die (time travel sequel bullshi aside) bc he killed loki, and vision, and EVERYONE (esp loki and vision tho) but maybe he didn’t really deserve it? maybe he was kinda right?
the mcu is looking very oversaturated right now, and save for a few multiverse silver linings, their universe is dying without its anchor beings.
at least they maintained the first Cinematic Limited Series for about a decade and gave Gen Z the first villain that was right.
nearly ever post-endgame marvel film has included a scene of 2 characters touching their foreheads together. like they thought it was the key to making money. what they don’t realize is you can’t fake emotion
“perfectly balanced. as all things should be.”
