Why I watched this one? Guy Pearce (in my opinion of the better underrated actors working today) in a Mad Max type movie from Australia...I am in! Even with Robert Pattinson as his co-star.

What is this one about? Movie takes place 10 years after a global economic collapse. Three thieves take Guy's car. This pisses Guy off. With the help of Pattinson he tries to track down his car.

What I thought of the movie? Not as good as I was hoping for...but it was still an entertaining movie. Pearce is his usual quality self....but the real surprise was Pattinson. To say I am not a Pattinson fan is a huge understatement....but I really liked his performance in this movie. The action in the movie is ok....but this is more of a character study than an action picture. Pearce's character does not say much in the movie....but he shares enough of his personal history for the viewer to understand his motivations. Final thought: This one is worth checking out....certainly not a great movie but one I will check out again.

Pattinson: I can not stop thinking about that young girl I killed at the hotel.
Pearce: You should never stop thinking about a life you've taken. That's the price you pay for taking it.
