Dreamworks Presents:
Almost Famous
The Bootleg Cut
Directed by Cameron Crowe
When people ask me what is one of my favorite movies, I’ll say it’s Goodfellas or other times Boogie Nights, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, Zodiac, The Wizard of Oz, Lawrence of Arabia or Fiddler on The Roof but most of the time I’ll say Cameron Crowe masterpiece Almost Famous.
This film has some of the memorable young stars that later became famous in other projects like Dwight from the Office, Jimmy Fallon, and of course the main cast.
Our 3 main trio Patrick Fugit, Kate Hudson, and Billy Crudup made this film shine and I’m completely in love with their characters and the journey, and glad to see the late Philip Seymour Hoffman who is an actor I admire and will definitely be missed.
Almost Famous is a film that will be a timeless as I keep rewatching and with me seeing the Bootleg Cut for the first time, I think it’s the best version we have and definitely gives a lot of how fun and independent the 70s was with this amazing soundtrack and the escapism from that era.
