True Romance

True Romance

I think the greatest asset of True Romance (besides the magnetic pairing of Quentin Tarantino's script and Tony Scott's direction) is the fact that underneath all the brutal violence and the cocaine and the action is a truly cute, memorable romance between Clarence and Alabama, one that the audience can't help but root for. The ensemble cast is also IMO one of the best ever assembled, with Christian Slater, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Dennis Hopper, and Patricia Arquette all giving their all.

"He must have thought it was white boy day. It ain't white boy day, is it?"

"Naw man, It ain't white boy day."
