Glass half empty: now convinced Split was not any kind of comeback at all. The end product is slavish to all the director’s worst habits. Mainly he is a writer before he is a director, but is a writer you wouldn’t want to read. A dull & boring time at the cinema, that lands with a resounding thud more than it shatters expectations.
