Mulholland Drive

Mulholland Drive

Creepy old people, bizarre cowboys, and a mysterious blue box. Lynch's fever dream delivered.

When Lynch makes a movie, you can bet it’s going to get weird. He leads us down a twisting path into the shadows of the movie business until what’s real and what’s imagined start to blur together. This enigmatic journey keeps you on your toes the whole way through. You might wonder: Is it a romance? A crazy dream? A complex riddle? Somehow, it’s all of those things and more.

He lures you into a dreamlike vision of Los Angeles, but as the story unfolds, you realize you’ve stumbled into a waking nightmare. I was blown away by Naomi Watts’ acting in this film. She doesn’t hold back at all, and it makes for a stunning performance. Paired with Angelo Badalamenti's haunting score, the result is both mesmerizing and unsettling.
