The Horrible Dr. Hichcock 1962
Love the photography, which even given the lo res rip I saw this on is great, really fluid camera moves, some lovely jump cuts and angles, all of which really add to the atmosphere.
Happy to believe that the obviously Italian villa that this was filmed in is a town house in central London with massive grounds, great set dressing throughout and obviously several very useful staircases that lead to the basement where the coffins are kept.

Better Man 2024
Second music biopic of the week and this one doesn’t play it quite as straight as the Dylan.
Biggest take away from this, apart from how well the central conceit works, is that the director Michael Glancey could probably do anything. You would trust him with a samurai epic, a western, a superhero or StarWars movie, an intimate character study or whatever.
The film making of this, the confidence that everything is attacked with is astonishing. Look forward to what he does next.
