A fun and absurdly over-the-top throwback genre mashup that blends a heist-gone-wrong with the Universal monster movies of the 50’s that had me cheering multiple times from the absolute bloody insanity. Dan Stevens understood the assignment and just goes sicko mode for 109 minutes and I was fucking living for it!

Double Indemnity 1944
I had to kick Noir November off with the all-time noir classic that’s been on my watchlist for years. I thought this was perfect from the moment Fred MacMurray strikes the match with his thumb to the very end. I, too, would let Barbara Stanwyck ruin my life, and for a hell of a lot less than $100k!
