For some reason, don't know why, I missed this movie in 2022. I've come across it a lot lately, I think Maika Monroe's acting performance in Longlegs has a big role in this.
It was a very basic and always watchable subject, a WELL-WRITTEN script where the thriller element was masterfully used, SUPERB storytelling-editing relation, very carefully written and WELL-CRAFTED characters, GREAT casting, very SUCCESSFUL acting performance from Maika Monroe (the rest were average) and pretty REMARKABLE directing.
I really liked the vibe of the movie. Romania was especially very compatible with this vibe.
As always, I want to mention some additional things, but this time only 2:
- Yes Julia, we should wave from the window to the sick f*cks we think are watching us, go girl.
- Francis, you're an imbecile. Up to a point, you may not believe the woman who moved countries with you, left her home and loved you very much, but mf, you never believed her.
