If you don’t know the “reveal/twist” going in it makes for a much better watch. I unfortunately knew about it from the second trailer, damn marketing these days.

I was pretty excited for this but left the theatre kinda lukewarm and meh about Companion. Sophie Thatcher, Jack Quaid, and Lukas Cage are awesome as always.

It’s funny, entertaining, and overall enjoyable however there’s nothing really original and substantial beyond the main reveal. It’s pretty surprising how repetitive and predictable it…

Nosferatu was my most anticipated film for the remainder of the year and I can happily say that it met and slightly surpassed my expectations.

Robert Eggers continues to amaze with his   thoroughly detailed attention to time period and folklore accuracy. It’s just so immersive and beautiful to watch with the haunting gothic atmosphere and immaculate sound design too. The cinematography and lighting are absolutely…

    *SEBASTIAN STAN DOUBLE FEATURE*

A film anyone could resonate with in some shape or form, just so thought provoking and hard hitting. The look and feel of this complimented by the wonderful jazzy score throughout was absolutely gorgeous.

I fucking loved this movie, lowkey one of my favourites of the year.

    Joker: Folie à Deux

    ★★

Incredibly disappointed and conflicted like what was that. Todd Phillips response to the first film here is just retconning everything while also repeating the same themes over and over without the Scorsese template.

He surely has a disdain for the character and the audience which ultimately ends up being the thesis of the film but like why are we doing this? who is this really for?. It just rings so hollow, boring, and pointless by the end.
