Amahn Stuckey’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is just an overall spectacular crime thriller with great direction from Michael Mann. He establishes not only the environment, but the two main leads and their dynamic in an extremely engaging way though fantastic dialogue throughout. There was also just some insane cinematography in this which elevated all of the well executed action sequences, especially in its final moments that made for a masterclass of a tense final showdown. Tom Cruise is amazing as always, and it’s nice to see him play a true antagonist as he plays the cold-hearted Vincent to a tee. Jaime Foxx was also incredible as his opposite in this as plays Max and his overall arc in this perfectly as well. It’s really through these two leads and their interactions where this film shines the most. Really just spectacular through and through.
