"me too Hugh" oh i started howling like a mad woman
oh we are so backkkkkkkkkk we all say in unison! deadpool and wolverine is possibly, undoubtedly one of the funniest out of all marvel films – okay fine, all deadpool films are, but this one tickled a part of my brain that i wasn't aware of. it's true that marvel's castle has been crumbling the last few years, even though I've enjoyed (pretty much) all content since avengers: endgame, after all I'm an easy person to please. nonetheless, I was truthfully scared that this film would be so bad, on the one hand because marvel's quality has dropped considerably and on the other hand a legacy character is always hard to use it as respectfully as possible, obviously as any deadpool film it's probably impossible to be even an ounce of respectful, but to my amazement it worked wonderfully. i had a smile from ear to ear the entire time apart from the times that my jaw dropped to the floor or i was laughing like a hyena. the trailer didn't do it any justice. chaos over chaos over chaos.
i can't complain about marvel films being too dark- colour pallette wise, this one did have a nice brightness to it; though, i was frightened it would look slightly cheap - which it did sometimes, surprisingly for the story and overall tone they nailed it. marvel has been striving and feeding us with the same plot: multiverse since 2021, which was fun but now it's starting to feel oversaturated. i may be wrong, however i do believe this plotine will only end (for a while) when the new "universes" films begin, away from earth-616. also, i could be wrong but after Thanos all villains look goofy to me. they just don't feel right. I'm not sure what it is, because the film never does any justice to then nor give them the right amount if screen time. i think it would've worked better without that one villain. it's complicated to have legacy character or several (👀!!!!), but knowing as chill as deadpool films are i never expected any less from controversial jokes, madness and some heartfelt moments. deadpool being the humour and wolverine the annoyed side kick in a deserted sandlike place that was giving furiosa - a lot actually. apart from all of that, I'm not sure where the next stories will go (if), if there was an actual closure and a goodbye. if it was a goodbye then I'm more than grateful!
is this a safe place to say something? i never cared for Wade Wilson/Deadpool, at least not that much, or Ryan Reynolds for that matter, but maybe now I'm a little more fond of both. Hugh Jackman and Logan/Wolverine oh you bet!!!!!!!! he never disappoints!! younger me shed many tears for him, so i had to shed a few more this time. also, why was i expecting Wade to make a joke about succession and a ludicrously capacious bag?????? after the jokes about gossip girl and even others, i expected anything!!!!! the disney/marvel jokes had me on knees. oh i love when the self-awareness hits. Dogpool/Mary Puppins greatest character in the film i looooove you!!!!!
i wanted to say a few more things but I don't wish to spoil anyone so I'm afraid i can't be as annoying as I wished!!
