Sundance #5
a weird one! there’s some really interesting themes about white liberalism on display and it’s full of great performances; but it also suffers from a lot of issues that directorial debuts typically do such as pacing and finding the right tone. there’s genuinely too many hilarious bits and strokes of genius to completely dismiss it, but it also never fully comes together to fully love it either.
