"I have adventured it and found nothing but sugar and violence." A fitting sentiment for a journey of discovery where the things that touch our soul the most are presented with a childlike wonder. Music, food, philosophy, sex and death. A Huxleian discourse where the awakening is beaten numb by the degrading nature of our condition. Lanthimos is an instinctive film maker and his structuring always leaves me dazzled. Great performances all around with a fantasy landscape that you can get lost in. A cinematic joy.
