EasternPaFootball unveiled its all-star list for the 2024 season, and a whopping 64 L-L League players were honored, including 22 first-team selections. Players from District 1, 2, 3, 4, 11 and 12 were eligible to be rewarded.
The big winner was Lampeter-Strasburg senior Caileb Howse, who pocketed yet another Class 4A Player of the Year award for his outstanding season for the Pioneers. He rushed for 1,000-plus yards, passed for 1,000-plus yards and returned four interceptions for touchdowns while leading L-S to Section Four and District Three championships — on the way to the PIAA state title game.
Howse was also the PA Football Writers’ Player of the Year and the PA Football News co-Player of the Year for his efforts. He was also rewarded handsomely locally, with Section Four Outstanding Back and Offensive Back of the Year honors, plus the Section Four MVP nod from the Lions Club.
Howse was one of seven L-S players named on the EasternPaFootball all-star list.
