General: navel

Description

The navel (also known as the umbilicus, belly button, tummy button or umbilical dip) is a scar on the abdomen at the attachment site of the umbilical cord. All placental mammals have a navel, though it is quite conspicuous in humans.
In humans, the navel can appear as a depression or as a protrusion. In some, the loss of the navel is possible, usually as the result of surgery.
