When I clicked on "played albums" the setting I want, it only shows 2 album artworks and does not change.

I am not the author, but I am somewhat familiar with the Spotify API. I am guessing your problem is you only have those 2 albums "saved" or "liked" or whatever the term is, i.e. the green heart you click by the album name. I don't think Spotify has a public API to see just albums you have played, only albums you have saved. This setting should be renamed to "Saved Albums" or something like that.
