Kouran (Hiroko Muroga)

Kouran started learning Japanese calligraphy at nine-years old. At twenty, she received qualification as a Master calligrapher.
While she was learning the basics of Japanese calligraphy, she grew interested in exploring more. As her desire to enjoy writing more freely grew, she started producing creative works with her own original style of brush stroke formation.
As her creative calligraphic works were well received by many people in a variety of fields, she decided to run her own STYLE Kouran school.
She holds various writing classes, and creates calligraphic works with the idea of bringing a richer, more joyful and smiling life to a wide range of people through creative calligraphy.
