Dear Mama East Harlem is so cool and has delicious coffee. I was here really early on a Sunday morning so I could avoid crowds. My small drip coffee was $2.72 with tax. It's small but very very good. I passed on eating here but the menu is extensive.

I was asked for proof of vaccination to sit inside. There's lots of seating inside and outside. The music is relaxing as well as the colorful atmosphere. There's a bathroom in back. I always have to use it before I continue my travels. They have hand sanitizer for you on the pick up counter. The bathroom is clean and modern.

The artwork is spectacular. Each piece has the title and description. I didn't photograph all the details. It's so cute and cool I couldn't stop taking photos. You have to visit here and see for yourself.

I'm highly recommending Dear Mama and I look forward to visiting their location on the Upper West Side. Today's really friendly and efficient employee named Alesia said the other location is a very huge space.

How can I not give 5 stars to a coffee shop named in honor of my second all-time favorite 2pac song. And perhaps they can follow up with a spin-off store one day, "I ain't mad at chai."

On top of it the coffee was excellent and the vibes were good. I look forward to stopping here for a sandwich or dinner on a day when I have more of an appetite.

This used to be a gem in the East Harlem neighborhood. Something the area truly needed to be introduced to decent food and coffee at an affordable rate. I've been coming since the beginning ! Back when their "everything croissants" were the newest thing on the block (they've long changed the menu since). I even stood loyal all through the pandemic - purchasing all their prepped meals. However along with the constant menu changes - major price hikes were happening too. Today was my last day supporting this business. When an iced chai comes out to almost $10 with tip you need to call it quits!!!!

To the Owners - You know you are the only one of your kind in this neighborhood (which is probably why you're taking advantage of people) Its not like you have ANY competition for such outrageous pricing.

There is literally no other coffee shop for at least a mile

This is East Harlem not the lower east side. Get it together.

I came after reading the great reviews and was especially interested in trying the Lox crossaint sandwich since this is my go to order at any place that offers it. The place is just off 2nd Avenue and its actually a fairly large space, which makes it easier to social distance. The first thing I noticed was the interesting artwork displayed on the walls, it definitely fit the overall theme. The person who took my order was friendly and helpful. My order was ready after only a few minutes, I was happy that they were able to remove the onions since it seems that everything was premade. The sandwich was just ok in my opinion, the crossaint was very cold so not sure if having it room temperature would have made a difference. I really like the space and will definitely go back once we're able to dine in but I'll definitely order something different.

5 stars!! Place is super cute, clean and everything is so yummy! Cheap too!!! That's my favorite part.. I don't have 1 negative comment about Mamad coffee. Cookies and pastries are AMAZING, fresh breakfast and brewed coffee. on a diet? Make your meal vegan/gluten free, put almond milk in your coffee. I don't drink coffee, but I do here! Cold brews are delicious. Options options options and everyone is so nice. New favorite breakfast spot when I come to visit!

Side note: Cookies are must have.. that it all. Enjoy!

This place is fire. For the new implants in the neighborhood, let me rephrase: the coffee and ambiance are really good.

We got cortados and a latte with oat milk. This is the first place I've had oat milk and it's very delicious. The art on the walls is a nice touch and the music is always solid.

I've been here about 3 times. Once just to meet a friend, once to interview a prospective student, and once to kill time before a dinner reservation.

The barista this most recent time time was super cool and showed me how to pour milk into coffee to create a heart shape on the top. That was cool. 5 stars.

Two breakfast burritos for almost ~$40. This is outrageous. We got takeout and thought it's going to be delicious for such a pricey breakfast but unfortunately it was one of the worst breakfast sandwiches we've ever had. The chorizo is so fatty and oily that I couldn't even finish the entire burrito.

I will never order from this place again.

(takeout) I love the flavor combinations that Dear Mama pioneers! I ordered the overnight oats; the peppercorn lemonade and the iced Mexico City mocha. The Mexico City mocha is spot on flavors - a little kick of spice at the end of the the drink. All of the things I tasted today are amazing. Highly recommend!

Wow this place is . My wife and I stayed here for hours on a day off. Eating brunch. Reading some books. Sipping coffee and enjoying treats. Chatting away. Enjoying the vibe. We loved it!

We had the Legendary El Barrio, soup, zucchini bread, matcha cookie, cappuccino , and cafe au leit.

The Legendary El Barrio was so good. I could eat that everyday. The right amount of eggs. The chips out a little snap into the soft croissant. Definitely get this when you have an opportunity.

The zucchini bread and matcha cookie were super tasty. My wife and I were battling out who should take the last bite because they went so fast.

Whether your working or just hanging or just need a place to grab a bite with friends. Definitely come here and enjoy the vibe. The music they play is also
