Latin

Etymology

Template:unk.; possibly from angō (I draw together”, “I strangle). It could also be from Proto-Indo-European *h₂énkos (curve), and related to the Ancient Greek ἄγκος (ánkos) and the Sanskrit अङ्कस् (áṅkas).
