Uncertain; possibly from (deprecated template usage) angō. Could also be related to Ancient Greek (deprecated template usage) Lua error in Module:parameters at line 360: Parameter "sc" should be a valid script code; the value "polytonic" is not valid. See WT:LOS. and Sanskrit (deprecated template usage) अङ्कस् (áṅkas).
