Amawbia is in Awka Anambra State, South Eastern Nigeria.

Understand

Also known as Ugbo-Ogiliga, Amabwia is a town in Awka South Local Government, along the old Enugu-Onitsha road in what is today known as Nnamdi Azikiwe Avenue. It has six surviving villages: Umueze, Ngene, Adabebe, Umukabia, Ezimezi and Enu-oji. From time immemorial, Amawbia had been an autonomous community, managing its own affairs. It is about 35 km from Onitsha, on the road in Anambra State.


Climate

Amawbia has alternating hot and warm seasons. The wet season is warm and the dry season is hot.

The nearest airports to Ụmụdioka are Chinua Achebe International Airport and Asaba Cargo Airport. One can charter airport taxi from these Airports to Amawbia.

By road

There are luxury buses and cars going to Awka or Onitsha from all states in Nigeria. Continue by minibus or tricycle (popularly called Keke) to Amawbia.
