Schade schade
-- Adherent of the Enlightenment 10.0 (talk) 14:54, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
Altered speedy deletion rationale: Talk:Jon Arnason
[edit]Hello Jón. I am just letting you know that I deleted Talk:Jon Arnason, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 22:50, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
The article Michele Ferrero (priest) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable individual, fails the general, biographical and author notability guidelines. No biographical sources to be found on Google or Google News, and no second-party mentions of any published works.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Lear's Fool 10:40, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
DYK for Zoni Weisz
[edit]On 26 February 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Zoni Weisz, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Zoni Weisz, a Dutch Sinto survivor of the Porajmos, has been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for creating the world's largest flower arrangement? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

[edit]I'm aware that Icelandic people write their names with Þ, but this is the English Wikipedia, not the Icelandic Wikipedia. We name our articles according to the predominant usage in English language sources (see the naming guidelines), and few non-Icelandic sources spell this person's name with Þ. There are some articles here which use Þ, but this isn't universal and what we do in each specific case depends on what the sources do. Speedy deletion is only to be used for uncontroversial, straightforward cases, this isn't one of them. There's nothing stopping you from initiating a request at WP:RM. Disambiguation link notification for March 14
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Merkel (surname), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Merkle and Merkel (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
