TFL notification

[edit]

Hi, SounderBruce. I'm just posting to let you know that List of current United States governors – a list that you have been heavily involved with – has been chosen to appear on the Main Page as Today's featured list for November 4. The TFL blurb can be seen here. If you have any thoughts on the selection, please post them on my talk page or at TFL talk. Regards, Giants2008 (Talk) 00:43, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Template question

[edit]

Hi Bruce. I noticed you added a comment to another editor's talk page on 3 November 2019 which appeared, to my eye, to be boilerplate text generated by a template you used rather than text you composed yourself. My question is, what template generated that text? Thank you. Spideog (talk) 17:53, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Spideog: The template's name ({{uw-unsourced1}}) is commented out on that page. It was generated using Twinkle. SounderBruce 21:54, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you have listed this for TFA at pending for November. I have tentatively reserved a date for it, but if you would still like it be considered you will need to nominate it at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests, which is now open. Cheers. Thanks for the reminder and for leaving the slot open. I have posted my blurb to TFAR. SounderBruce 00:28, 13 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
