Why is this fire called the Lockheed fire? 171.64.91.174 (talk) 03:25, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is a Lockheed Martin Space Systems design and test facility in the Santa Cruz Mountains that is serving as one of the command posts for fighting the fire. The other name under consideration was the "Swanton Fire," named for Swanton Rd on the other side of the fire. Jonathan Assink (talk) 07:45, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
