Hi
How do you change your username? I want to change mine to iExpert or to GoldandSilver.
ThanksMTroll (talk) 02:01, 10 February 2017 (UTC)
I wanted to delete my userpage because I felt like there was no need for it. Nothing interesting about me.MTroll (talk) 02:01, 10 February 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, if you want to change your username, you can do so here. Also, while I stumbled across your userpage and question due to your deletion request, if is generally a good idea to ask at the help desk or teahouse if you have questions as it is unlikely someone would see a question you posted here. Hi. I see you have been trying to help with patrolling new pages. Unfortunately, I don't think that you have enough experience on Wikipedia to understand the policies needed to help here. You recently tagged an elementary school with an CSD A7 tag. Educational institutions are exempt from speedy deletion under CSD A7. I have redirected the page per WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES, but the tag shows that you need a bit more experience before you actively take part in New Page Patrol. I would recommend getting involved with creating some content in a field you enjoy or even countervandalism by patrolling Special:RecentChanges. Once you get a bit more experience you can read the tutorial at WP:NPP and have a go at patrolling new pages and fighting the backlog! Thanks for your work trying to build Wikipedia! Also, CSD A3 only applies to pages that are virtually completely blank of content. This page had content, so it does not fit A3. TonyBallioni (talk) 03:39, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
- Hi again. Just wanted to leave a note about placing tags on pages. Generally, the best rule is to try to improve the page rather than place a bunch of tags on at one time. If you do place tags, putting 3 or 4 without combining them can be really difficult for users when they are trying to read the page. Generally a good rule of thumb is to stick to the main issues with a page rather than placing all the possible tags on it. Placing a bunch of tags is called by some tagbombing and can be a bit bitey to newcomers. I also noticed that you placed the NPP icon on your user page. This is not normally done unless you have the user right. Kudpung, who is an admin that works in this field, normally is good to give advice to newcomers who want to help with patrolling new pages, and might be able to give better advice than I have. - Hi. With only 134 edits to mainspace you fall very short of the required experience to be doing any maintenance tasks on Wikipedia. When you have made 200 mainspace edits you will first qualify to enroll at the WP:CVUA to learn the basics of anti-vandalism which you should then do before considering any other site management operations. Thanks. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 03:07, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
- in this edit to Ellis Pond you added three tags:
- "Needs sections": No, a single paragraph does not need to be split into sections
- "Under construction": The whole encyclopedia is permanently "under construction", but that tag is supposed to be added to an article by an editor who is actively engaged in working on it at the present time. It is not appropriate for you to add it unless you are in the process of doing major work on that article, which seems unlikely here.
- "Uncategorised": Fine. But a 1 in 3 success rate is pretty poor. Please take more time to understand the system before tagging other editors' work. Thanks. PamD 15:10, 15 February 2017 (UTC)

Just adding this here so you have more links. If you have more questions, editors at the Tea house can really help you, or you can always leave a message on my talk page. TonyBallioni (talk) 03:47, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
