About this page Use this page to request the committee open an arbitration case. To be accepted, an arbitration request needs 4 net votes to "accept" (or a majority). Arbitration is a last resort. WP:DR lists the other, escalating processes that should be used before arbitration. The committee will decline premature requests. Requests may be referred to as "case requests" or "RFARs"; once opened, they become "cases". Before requesting arbitration, read the arbitration guide to case requests. Then click the button below. Complete the instructions quickly; requests incomplete for over an hour may be removed. Consider preparing the request in your userspace. To request enforcement of an existing arbitration ruling, see Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement. To clarify or change an existing arbitration ruling, see Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Clarification and Amendment.

Statement by QLDer in NSWThe 2023 Australian Indigenous Voice referendum is upcoming and the Indigenous Voice to Parliament is controversial. That controversy has spread to Wikipedia. Several right-wing populist/anti-Voice trolls, mostly IPs, keep vandalising articles related to the Voice. Some are calling Wikipedia's information about the Voice (and its coverage of Voice-related conspiracy theories in particular) as a smear. Wikipedians with a wide range of views (left-leaning, centrist and right-leaning; Yes and No supporters) are being forced to put heaps of time into dealing with these trolls. It has caused myself, HiLo48 and Mitch Ames to spend heaps of time and attention on a stupid argument with an IP address, several pages (e.g Marcia Langton and Noel Pearson) to be protected, etc. This may not be the best move, but I've decided to forward it to ArbCom with hopes that the request is approved. Every time I log in I see notifications from this IP, plus I notice plenty of other IPs vandalising Voice-related articles. It's just sometimes hard to see in the page history because due to the referendum happening next month, the number of good edits are outweighs the number of bad edits.
