User rights log

This is a log of changes to user rights performed locally by users ("manual" changes) or by system rules ("automatic" changes). You may enter either or both of:

• Performer – the name of the user who changed the rights (just their name)
• Target – the name of the user whose rights were changed (written with the prefix User:)

The list of user groups and their associated permissions is on Special:ListGroupRights.

The log does not show:

• Changes of rights by stewards (such as checkuser and oversight user rights) – see the meta global rights log (Enter usernames like this: User:Doe@enwiki)
• Local rights changes made prior to 24 December 2004 – see Wikipedia:Bureaucrat log.

• 19:02, 27 May 2021 Samsara talk contribs changed group membership for Samsara from administrator to IP block exempt (temporary, until 19:02, 27 November 2021) and administrator (earlier I could edit, now I can't... I cannot work like this!)
• 08:14, 12 August 2019 Samsara talk contribs changed group membership for Kew Gardens 613 from extended confirmed user and rollbacker to extended confirmed user (bad use of rollback at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=910345354&oldid=910344690)
• 01:50, 1 September 2015 Samsara talk contribs changed group membership for Crohnie from autopatrolled, file mover, pending changes reviewer and rollbacker to autopatrolled and pending changes reviewer (cautionary removal of rollback and file mover bits from long-term inactive account)
