The Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party is a political party in India. SBSP was founded in 2002.[1] The party is led by Om Prakash Rajbhar, a Hon'ble Minister of "Backward class welfare and Empowerment of Persons With Disabilities" in Uttar Pradesh Bhartiya Janta Party.[1][2] The party has its headquarters in Fatehpur village, Varanasi district.[3] The party has a yellow flag.[1] Piyush Misra is the National Media Head of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party. Profile

SBSP is based amongst the Rajbhar community in eastern Uttar Pradesh.[1][2][9] It favours the creation of a separate Purvanchal state in this region. In these areas the Rajbhar community constitutes some 18% of the population.[1]

Indian general election, 2004

SBSP fielded 14 candidates in the 2004 Indian general election, one in Bihar and the rest in Uttar Pradesh. Together they obtained 275,267 votes (0.07% of the nationwide vote).[15]

Bihar assembly elections, 2005

The party contested the February 2005 Bihar Legislative Assembly election with three candidates. Together they obtained 13,655 votes (0.06% of the statewide vote).[16] SBSP fielded two candidates in the subsequent October 2005 Legislative Assembly election in Bihar. Together they obtained 11,037 votes (0.05% of the statewide vote).[17]

Uttar Pradesh assembly election, 2007

The party ran 97 candidates in the 2007 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. All but three candidates forfeited their deposits. In total the party obtained 491,347 votes (0.94% of the statewide vote).[18]

Indian general election, 2009

Ahead of the 2009 Indian general election SBSP joined the Apna Dal-led coalition Adhikar Manch ('Rights Platform'), an alliance of BSP splinter groups.[2] SBSP fielded twenty candidates, whom together obtained 319,307 votes. All forfeited their deposits[19]

Bihar assembly election, 2010

The party fielded six candidates in the 2010 Bihar Legislative Assembly election. Together they obtained 15,437 votes (0.05% of the statewide vote).[20]

Uttar Pradesh assembly election, 2012

The party ran 52 candidates in the 2012 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. All but four candidates forfeited their deposits. In total the party obtained 477,330 votes (0.63% of the statewide vote).[21]


2013 Bhatpar Rani by-poll

In 2013 a SBSP candidate finished in second place in a by-election for the Bhatpar Rani legislative assembly seat. The SBSP candidate Sabhakunwar obtained more votes than the BJP and Indian National Congress candidates together.[22]

Indian general election, 2014

SBSP fielded 13 candidates in the 2014 Indian general election, whom together mustered 118,947 votes (0.02% of the nationwide vote).[23] Ahead of the election SBSP took part in forming the Ekta Manch ('Unity Platform'), a coalition of smaller parties in Uttar Pradesh. Om Prakash Rajbhar served as convenor of the coalition.[24]

Rajasthan

Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party started his new journey in Rajasthan from Alwar District on Dt. 17-12-2017. Party's National Secretary Mr. Shakti Singh announce name of State officer and District President, District Vice-President, District Officer, District Secretary and District President of Yuwa Much.

Mr. Rahul Srivastava selected as a State Officer - Rajasthan and Mr. Amit Srivastava is a District President, Mr. Dharmendra Srivastava is a District President - Yuwa Munch of Alwar District.

Uttar Pradesh

On 15 April 2018 the state level meeting of the SBSP in west Uttar Pradesh was organized in the Ghaziabad metropolitan area. The chief guest of the meeting, Honorable National Vice President Mahendra Rajbhar (Katappa) and Rampal Mani Ji were present in the meeting of the Youth Forum, as well as Gangaram Raj Bharm, the party president, and other office bearers of 22 districts of western Uttar Pradesh. The main purpose of the meeting was to contemplate the expansion of the party's organization in western Uttar Pradesh and the office bearers to fulfill the party's objectives.
