Julian Scanlan (born May 1, 1997), better known by his stage name Slushii, is an American DJ and electronic music producer. He is best known for working with artists managed by Moe Shalizi, such as Marshmello, Ookay and Jauz, and for gaining support from notable dubstep musician and OWSLA-record label founder, Skrillex.[1][2]

Background

Born in Mount Laurel, New Jersey in 1997, Julian began in music by being with the psychedelic power pop band Deuteronomy from 2009 until 2012, releasing with them their debut album.[3] He made his jumpstart into the Dance music world in mid 2013 with his since retired alias, "DJ Swoon". He was also one half of the music duo "Monsters With Tiny Mustaches" with his partner MHKAZ.[4] His first single for Canadian label Monstercat, Emptiness, was released on April 20, 2016. On May 20, 2016, he self-released his debut EP titled Brain Freeze.[5] He graduated from Lenape High School in Burlington County, New Jersey.
