Tyler Marenyi, better known by his stage name NGHTMRE, is an American DJ and trap producer based in North Carolina, United States.[3][4][5]

Early life

Marenyi was born in Stamford, Connecticut, and was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina.[3] He went to Elon University and obtained a degree in finance.[3] He then decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue a musical career.[3]

Career

At the beginning, he created trap and house remixes of songs by Tiësto, Rae Sremmurd and Skrillex.[3] Later on, he start producing his own songs as well as collaborations with other producers.[3] He gained recognition when Skrillex played one of his songs during a show at Ultra Music Festival.[3] Marenyi was eventually signed to Diplo's record label, Mad Decent and has had his first release "Street" released shortly after.[3] He debuted at EDC Las Vegas 2015, which was his first festival performance.[3] He has regularly toured and collaborated with fellow DJ and producer, Slander.[6]

In 2016, he released his debut EP titled "NGHTMRE EP" which had charted on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.[3][7] He collaborated with Pegboard Nerds to release "Superstar" as a single.[8] He later collaborated with moombahton musician Dillon Francis to release the single "Need You".[9][10] An official music video for the song was released by Francis on 9 May 2016 via YouTube.[9] He later collaborated with Flux Pavillion to release "Feel Your Love" as a single.[11][12]
