=== Statement by Xtremedood === |

I was recently topic banned from topics related to religion and Pakistan-India by user:JzG. JzG left a message here on my talk page informing me of my ban but providing no judgement based on WP policy. As I have mentioned in the discussion, there are a total of four referenced articles that the complainant referenced, and I have justified my edits based on sound Wikipedia policy and legitimate reasons (see discussion). None of the editors have even attempted to engage me in dialogue on the matter, even though I have started several discussions on the talk pages of the articles (see discussion). I have also been harassed online and threatened by group(s) who have clear bias. Also, none of the topics referenced have anything to do with Pakistan-India topics and are religious topics. Therefore, I am looking for clarification, based on Wikipedia policy, as to why I have been indefinitely topic banned on this topic and religion. WP policy clearly states that consensus is not based on the tally of votes. I believe that I have been unjustly topic banned due to biased non-NPOV tendencies among certain editors who have misrepresented my edits in the discussion and including some who have historically collaborated to work together to propagate Islamophobic content based on bias, discrimination, fallacies, and factually incorrect materials. Wikipedia should not be the place in which such POV's take precedence over objective analysis of the materials. This is in the wrong place, it should be at clarifications and amendments or AE, I think. |
That was my assessment of the consensus at the ANI discussion here - I would remind Xtremedood that not accepting the basis in policy does not mean there isn't one, there was input from a decent number of very experienced Wikipedians. Of course Xtremedood doesn't accept the consensus - hence the need for a topic ban. That's pretty much how it goes. Other uninvolved admins are welcome to review it, I have no dog in this fight and I try to stand back from any such reviews. <b>Guy</b> <small>(Help!)</small> 20:17, 11 December 2016 (UTC) |

This is a community-implemented topic ban. Even though it overlaps with a discretionary sanctions topic area, this is not an AE action, so this really doesn't belong at any ArbCom-related venue. There's no substantive complaint here about the validity of the ban discussion or its closure, so this should be declined. Per the banning policy, this editor may appeal to the community after six months. ~ <b>Rob</b><small>13</small>Talk 21:29, 11 December 2016 (UTC) |

=== Statement by Wiki id2 === |

Prior attempt at dispute resolution has not been made, due to ad hominem attacks by Tiger7523, has accused TownsHill of "chauvinism" rather than assume good faith as he provided two references, and has threatened me, with blackmail "bias towards a certain country. You will be standing alone if you do that... there are people on Wikipedia that can vouch for me." I assume he means I'm biased because I am a Pakistani person - I myself found this offensive and a crude chauvinistic attack on my personal character. I therefore, believe that the dispute resolution should be done by the experienced editors on the arbitration committee. Also, I haven't been on the arbitration committee before so once I have filed this form please can experience users direct me as to how I can provide further information. |
Please see this link for the edit warring: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pakistan&diff=754478934&oldid=754475805 |
I myself have not looked at the reference as TownsHill has. |
Tiger7523 removed Pakistan being a "regional power" here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pakistan&diff=753704130&oldid=753670950 and stated then that there was nothing in the reference which referred to Pakistan as a regional power. |
TownsHill then provided not one but two references: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pakistan&diff=754182253&oldid=754180913 |
Only for Tiger7523 to remove it stating that "Post-1971 the only regional power in the subcontinent is India. Please refrain from making chauvinistic edits." |
I then undid this, stating that he assumed bad faith by accusing TownsHill of "chauvinism" and that there were two references provided. I stated his opinion that "Post-1971 India is the only regional power" is violation of WP:NOR (no original research) |
Therefore I would like to request this case to be opened. Kind regards, (<font face="Forte"><span style="color:red;background:white">Wiki id2</span><span style="color:white;background:red">(talk)</span></font> 22:47, 12 December 2016 (UTC)) |

If this is about Pakistan (or India), then the topic area has already been considered by a previous ArbCom and discretionary sanctions are available. I suggest that the filing party read the boomerang essay and then consider a request to Arbitration Enforcement. I know that the ArbCom already knows not to rehash this. Why are so many trivial requests being filed in 48 hours? Robert McClenon (talk) 01:51, 13 December 2016 (UTC) |

It is a content dispute. A talk page discussion should have been the first step. *Decline We don't deal with content disputes, and normal edit warring or incivility can be handled at other forums, ANI, AN or if there's been a sanctions violation AE. *Decline. We can't handle the content part of this request, and I don't see that there have been attempts at dispute resolution either via talk page or in another DR forum such as ANI. Kautilya3's talk page post is a good start for handling the content issue, and ANI would be best for looking into conduct issues. About this page Use this page to request the committee open an arbitration case. To be accepted, an arbitration request needs 4 net votes to "accept" (or a majority). Arbitration is a last resort. WP:DR lists the other, escalating processes that should be used before arbitration. The committee will decline premature requests. Requests may be referred to as "case requests" or "RFARs"; once opened, they become "cases". Before requesting arbitration, read the arbitration guide to case requests. Then click the button below. Complete the instructions quickly; requests incomplete for over an hour may be removed. Consider preparing the request in your userspace. To request enforcement of an existing arbitration ruling, see Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement. To clarify or change an existing arbitration ruling, see Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Clarification and Amendment.
