Shi Yi Liu, known professionally as Eric Reprid, is a Canadian independent rapper and songwriter based in Vancouver.

Reprid dropped out of college to become a rapper with his friend and producer Marc Wavy (then known as Clueless Kit) in late 2016, much to the displeasure of their parents.[1] Their first song was "By My Side," featuring fellow artist Kora. From there, he has continued to cement his career as an underground artist "from the V", releasing his first album, Who Cares, in the summer of 2018, and his second, Bloom, in early 2020.

Some of his first hits included "Cold World" and "Vam".[2][3] His 2020 single "Cold World" has since reached 55  million streams on Spotify[3] and was nominated for Rap Recording of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2021;[4][5] he was the only independent musical artist nominated in that category. After "Cold World" and the eponymous EP in Dec. 2020, he came back in the summer of 2021 with "Thousand Times" and a 3-song EP, "Good Riddance."

In late 2021, he released three singles from his upcoming mixtape, 3TERNITY, including the viral song "Vam." 3TERNITY was released in March 2022 as his last project with his producer and friend Marc Wavy, as Wavy chose to pursue his own musical career.[1] Following Reprid's fourth project, he released three singles between July 2022 and January 2023 leading up to his next project, titled RIDDY'S REVENGE, including the songs "Hate On Me" and "8am." He also released a single titled "25" in November for his 25th birthday.

In 2024, Reprid released two singles, "SUKI" and "GINGER." Clips of Reprid performing "SUKI" went viral on X and TikTok that February, because of a controversial lyric in the song's hook about "bussy."[6]
