Description
English: A sampling of Northern Thai (Lanna) cuisine, here served as starters at "Huen Muan Jai" northern Thai restaurant in Chiang Mai. Starting from the top: nam phrik ong (tomato and pork chilli dip), to the left is kaeng hangle (northern Thai pork curry), in the middle is nam phrik num (mashed grilled green chillies, shallots and garlic), below is a small bowl of kaep mu (deep-fried pork rinds), with slices of sai ua (grilled spicy pork sausage) and si khrong mu thot (deep-fried pieces of pork ribs) left of it. The vegetables, excepting the cucumber, are all steamed.
