Summary

Description
English: Snaffle bit in bronze from the Polden Hill Hoard, Somerset, now in the British Museum. Tag on exhibit reads: "Bridle-bit, buried AD 80-150, Polden Hill Hoard, Somerset. Several different sets of horse harness in cast bronze with opaque red glass inlay are represented in the hoard. Presened by Sir A W Franks PRB 1846 3-22 58, 70, 77, 83, 108" See BM database entry for details.
